An event host, a partner to a human presenter, or a character that gets the audience involved. We combine character development, content and technology to create a live experience shaped around the event, the brand and the people in the room.

Three ways to bring a character to life
Digital characters can be operated in different ways. The examples demonstrate live digital presence; each project’s operating model is specified separately.
01
A live performer behind the character
A performer or presenter operates the character live. Voice, expressions and gestures create a presence that can respond to the audience, improvise and stay within the event’s creative world.
Especially suited to humour, stage timing and improvisation.02
An AI-powered character
The character converses using defined content and knowledge. We shape its personality, topics and conversational boundaries, and adapt the system to the production setup.
Suited to expert content, questions and answers, and brand experiences.03
A hybrid approach
Combine scripted content, AI capabilities and human operation. The production team can navigate segments and maintain the flow of the event, according to the system designed for the project.
Suited to scheduled events with a planned programme.

REAL PROJECT · LYNX
A brand character sharing the stage
At LYNX’s Fintech Junction 2026, the digital lynx character appeared on screen alongside a human presenter, in front of the conference audience. This is documentation of a delivered project: a branded character integrated into the event’s programme and stage presence.

REAL PROJECT · RGE · THE SPORTS CHANNEL (CHANNEL 5)
A digital co-host for a youth marathon warm-up in Tel Aviv
For RGE and The Sports Channel (Channel 5), we created a warm-up activation for young marathon participants in Tel Aviv: a digital character appeared alongside a human presenter and helped lead the exercise and warm-up before the race.
A live performer operated the character in real time, enabling it to respond to the action and interact with the presenter and participants as part of the live event.
This is an application of Mixed.Place’s live-character technology. Depending on the project, the experience can use human operation, integrate AI, or combine both approaches.
Event footage and a short highlight film will be added later.
What happens behind the screen?
With human operation, a performer uses a dedicated interface to connect speech, reactions and gestures. With AI operation, responses use the configured conversation system and content. In either case, we plan how the experience connects to the screens, audio and stage programme.

Designing the experience around the character
Define the role
Define the character’s purpose, audience and role in the programme.
Create personality & content
Develop a look, voice, language and script that serve the story and brand.
Connect the technology
Choose human operation, AI or a hybrid, and connect the screens and audio.
Rehearse & go live
Test responses and timing, rehearse, and define the production team’s roles.
A few useful questions
Can the character host an entire event?
Yes. It can be designed as the main host or as a co-host. Scope, improvisation and operation are planned around the event and its programme.
Is AI required?
No. A live performer can operate the character, AI can power it, or both can be combined. The choice depends on the intended experience and required control.
Can it work in a store or visitor centre?
Yes. The same principle can support a greeter, guide or brand representative. This page focuses on conferences and events; other uses receive their own project specification.
Who could bring your next event to life?
Let’s start with the goal, the audience and the story you want to tell.
