How do you transform a visually creative lifestyle brand into a physical experience that feels immersive, interactive, shareable, and emotionally connected to the artistic identity of the brand?
Mixed.Place designed and developed an immersive interactive exhibition experience for Marvis in Tokyo, inspired by the brand’s colorful Instagram aesthetics, artistic visual language, and playful identity. The experience transformed static printed visuals and social media-inspired artworks into interactive spatial AR experiences where visitors could bring the graphics to life through animation, interaction, and motion. Visitors explored a hybrid environment between an art installation, immersive exhibition, and interactive brand museum. Printed visual compositions expanded into 3D animated worlds, while interactive mechanics allowed guests to physically engage with the experience through playful branded interactions.
Created a memorable immersive brand activation that increased visitor engagement, social sharing, audience interaction, and emotional connection with the Marvis brand while transforming digital visual identity into a real-world experiential environment.
Marvis, the internationally recognized premium toothpaste brand known for its colorful artistic branding and unique flavor identity, wanted to create an immersive physical experience in Tokyo that extended the creative language of its digital and Instagram presence into the real world.
The challenge was to transform static visual content into an engaging environment that felt artistic, playful, interactive, and highly shareable.
Mixed.Place created an immersive spatial experience that combined elements of a museum installation, interactive exhibition, and AR-driven brand activation.
Large printed visuals inspired by Marvis social media aesthetics were displayed throughout the environment. Using augmented reality and interactive technologies, visitors could bring the visuals to life and reveal animated 3D experiences emerging directly from the artwork.
The experience also included interactive branded gameplay moments where visitors could physically interact with digital objects connected to the Marvis universe, creating playful and memorable engagement moments.
The project demonstrated how immersive technologies can transform static brand communication into emotional, experiential storytelling that increases engagement, strengthens brand identity, and creates highly shareable real-world experiences.
