Celebs Wax Museum wanted to create a more engaging and memorable visitor experience by transforming traditional wax figures into interactive attractions powered by augmented reality.
Mixed.Place developed an immersive AR experience that allowed visitors to bring celebrity wax figures to life using their smartphones and interactive screens throughout the museum.
Each celebrity experience was customized according to the character and personality of the figure. Visitors could interact with sports stars, reality TV personalities, children’s characters, musicians, and entertainers through playful and immersive experiences designed specifically for each attraction.
For example, visitors could play basketball challenges with sports celebrities, create survival-themed moments with reality stars, interact with floating balloons and animated effects with children’s characters, and trigger dynamic AR scenes that blended the physical wax figure with digital storytelling.
Parents and children could capture personalized videos and photos directly within the experience, generating highly shareable social content that extended the museum’s visibility beyond the physical location.
The result was a museum experience that combined entertainment, storytelling, social engagement, and repeat-visit motivation while transforming passive exhibits into living interactive attractions.
